We are excited to announce that our partner has published two scientific articles in MSWiM 2026 and WiMob 2026.
The first article, titled “AI-Enabled Traffic-Aware Closed-Loop Framework for MAC-Layer Control in Multi-Hop IoT Networks”, presents a traffic-aware closed-loop framework for low-power and lossy wireless networks that monitors network conditions, forecasts near-future degradation, and dynamically reconfigures the MAC protocol according to traffic patterns. Experiments on SLICES-FR show that the approach anticipates performance degradation, restores reliability during bursty traffic, and scales to heterogeneous deployments, while avoiding the energy cost of permanently using TDMA.
MSWiM is a selective, long-running research conference focused on how wireless and mobile systems are modeled, analyzed, simulated, and evaluated, spanning topics from wireless networking and mobility to edge computing, IoT, AI, and emerging 5G/6G systems.
The second article, titled “Towards a Hybrid Management Protocol Stack in Programmable Wireless Networks”, focuses on SDR-enabled wireless devices for which the communication protocol stack can be reconfigured during operation, and proposes HYMAPS, a persistent, technology-independent management channel, avoiding the risk of device isolation during protocol-stack reconfiguration. ns-3 simulations show that jointly tuning the beacon interval and management time can achieve a convergence time of 2.3 seconds with only 14% PDR loss during reconfiguration.
